The harmonica is especially prominent in John Sebastian's instrumental rendition of "Wagoner's Lad." Whenever I hear it, I picture a prairie in Autumn around sunset. It's a standout track on the Windham Hill various artists compilation, "Thanksgiving."
Takashi Yoshimatsu's perfectly titled piece, "Autumn: Dream Song In November," could serve, in my view, as a quiet coda to "Wagoner's Lad." Yasuo Watani's subtler harmonica playing complements Shin-ichi Fukuda's reflective guitar style.
